Frequently Asked Questions
Can't find your question? Call us — a human answers between 8 am and 7 pm, Monday to Saturday.
How old do I need to be to start driving lessons?
You can sit the KPP theory test and apply for a Class D (car) L license from age 17 in Malaysia. You're welcome to book your first practical lesson as soon as your L license is issued — many students do the theory prep with us while waiting.
What documents do I bring to my first lesson?
Just your MyKad (or passport for non-citizens) and your L license if you already hold one. For refresher students, bring your current driving license. Everything else — car, insurance, L plates — is on us.
Do you teach in languages other than English?
Yes. Our fourteen instructors teach in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. Tell us your preference when booking and we'll match you accordingly. Several instructors are also comfortable in Cantonese and Tamil.
Automatic or manual — which should I choose?
A manual (Class D) license lets you drive both transmission types; an automatic-only (Class DA) license restricts you to automatics. If you're sure you'll only ever drive autos, DA is faster to learn. If there's any chance you'll need a manual — family car, work vehicle — invest in Class D. We teach both and will advise at your assessment.
How is the JPJ practical test structured?
The test has two parts: the circuit (hill start, side parking, three-point turn) and the on-road section with a JPJ examiner. Our Test-Ready Twelve package rehearses both parts on the actual routes, including two full timed mock tests scored to the official rubric.
Can I reschedule or cancel a lesson?
Yes — rescheduling is free up to 24 hours before your slot, by phone or WhatsApp. Cancellations inside 24 hours count the hour, because the instructor and car were reserved for you. Package refunds are covered in our Return & Refund Policy.
Do you provide the car for the JPJ test?
Yes. Test-day car rental and instructor accompaniment are included in the Test-Ready Twelve package, or available as an add-on for other students. You take the test in the same model you trained in — same clutch, same mirrors, no surprises.
My foreign license is from overseas. Can I just convert it?
It depends on the issuing country — some licenses convert directly at JPJ, others require part of the local process. Send us your country and license class via the contact form and we'll reply with the current requirements and an honest recommendation.
